The Consumer Protection Agency under the Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on September 11, 2019 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 11.09.2019, No 5817 “On measures to fundamentally improve the legal and institutional system of protection of consumer rights”.

The Consumer Protection Agency is an authorized state body in implementation of a unified state policy and coordination of activities of other related state bodies and organizations in the field of consumer protection and regulation of the advertising market.

The agency includes the Central Office located in Tashkent and 14 territorial administrations in regions of Uzbekistan. The staff of the Agency’s Central Office consists of 38 employees and another 142 employees in the territorial departments.
